Step-by-Step Guide to

How to Refresh Hairline

1. Prepare the Area
Gently lift and clip back the section of hair around the concerned area.

2. Remove Old Adhesive Strip
Using small scissors, carefully trim and remove the existing adhesive strip.

3. Clean the Skin
Clean the area thoroughly with an alcohol-based solvent to remove all adhesive residue. Allow the skin to air dry or blow dry until fully dry.

4. Mark Placement
Practice positioning the hair system flat against your scalp without applying tension. Once aligned, mark the intended position on your skin using a skin-safe marking pencil.

5. Apply Adhesive Strip
Apply a new adhesive strip as close to the edge of the hair system as possible. Blow dry the strip for 5 seconds to enhance tackiness.

6. Apply Liquid Adhesive
Using an applicator, apply a thin, even layer of liquid adhesive across the strip.
Apply an equal width of adhesive to the skin, directly behind the markings.

7. Allow to Cure
Let adhesive cure for 10–15 minutes. Perform a curing test (see below) to confirm readiness.

8. Remove Markings
Once adhesive is ready, gently wipe away the skin markings.

9. Secure Hairline
Align and lay the hair system down, matching the previously marked positions.
Press down firmly. For enhanced hold, perform the comb technique (see below).

10. Finish Blow dry and style the hair as desired.

Helpful Techniques

Curing Test
Using the edge of a clean plastic tool (such as a comb), gently tap the adhesive area. If the adhesive pulls away with the tool, it’s not ready. The ideal texture is tacky, not stringy.

Comb Technique
Using the teeth of a comb, press directly into the hairline. Tilt the comb up at a 45° angle and pull outward while applying pressure. This helps blend the adhesive securely into the edge of the hair system for a stronger hold.
